Hello Sego Lily Community!  I had a glorious Sego Lily Moment yestereday when we went “over the river and through the woods.”  I took a group of 5 youngsters including Darius, Willow, Sandy, Audrey, and Dylan to the stream yesterday.  They were throwing rocks, eating their lunch, and looking for fish as Darius jumped to a rock with a step that dunked his left foot.  He looked at me with that “I know I broke a rule but did it anyway” half smile of his.  I let him know that he had broken our stream rule.  I said- “Now you are going to have to jump back without getting your other foot wet.  He said “I can’t!” and “I won’t!”  I just watched.  After some time passed he took a tremendous leap back and nearly made it!  Everyone cheered.  Darius had some lessons in respecting rules,  noticing consequences and making choices about following rules, and I had yet another lessons in letting go and letting a kid be a kid.  Hope his boots don’t shrink!
